Thanks, Carin, for the info. Over ten years ago, I purchase my first Mighty Lites to do six stalls. At that time, I was concerned about using them as permanent stall mats, but they have performed beautifully over the years. I'm sure that in ten years they have been improved and look forward to placing an order.

Let me tell
you I just LOVE walking on those mats!! I have a very
bad back and the minute I first walked on the mats I could
tell the difference, my back felt so much better. I can

to put 4 wheelbarrow loads of sawdust down instead of

I hate to
sound like a testimonial but I would like to compliment
and thank you and your company for handling my order
for stall mats for my horse. Not only was your literature
and sample helpful in educating me about stall mats,
but was the deciding factor in choosing a Summit mat
when comparing your mats to the others. Then when I
did decide to order, I was amazed that the mats were
received 3 days later! Your instructions on preparing
my stall were excellent and the actual installation
was a piece of cake! It took me about an hour to place
the mats. I did it all by myself with the exception
of getting help from a friend to carry them into the
stall (I only weigh 14 more pounds than the mats!).
Stall maintenance has actually been "fun" since then. It only takes at most 10 minutes to clean
and I have found that my horse actually keeps his stall
cleaner now (piles his manure in one place rather than
spreading it around). The main reason I bought it was
that he has a high urine volume and made for a messy
hole in the middle of the stall. But since getting the
mats and discussing it with my trainer, farrier and
colleagues, I realize a lot of other health benefits
such as improved respiratory health due to decreased
dust, improved musculoskeletal health due to cushioning
as well as level surface and possibly improved intestinal
parasite control if feeding hay off the ground. These
stall mats make me very happy. One of the best investments
I have made!

Just to let you know that we are happy with our Mighty Lite Mats. From purchase to delivery was efficient and with no problems. My stable fitter, the husband, thought their weight and ease of handling was great. And Oliver the horse is very comfortable in his new look stable. On those cold frosty Scottish nights they definitely help to take the edge off the chill. They must be better for the horse standing all night, as you feel the "give" as soon as you walk on the mats. Mucking out is much quicker and overall they have made our horse maintenance jobs easier. Thanks.

| By the way, we did lay the rest of the mats down and they are great. It was so easy, and they look and feel so good. Easy to sweep too. Now of course I want to do the two stalls, as they have those old heavy rubber mats that separate and curl and manure and urine and bedding gets under them and I have to lift them to get the stuff out from under them etc etc and they are generally just a pain. Perhaps next year!! |

Lady, a 13yr old thoroughbred mare, who is very untidy in the stable – mucking usually takes about 40 minutes! She also suffers from arthritis and needs to rest in a warm, dry stable. I usually put in one bag of shavings every other day and a good bed takes between 10/12 bales to be soft for her to lie down on this costs a minimum of £20/per week!
I spoke to Philip at Group Summit who was extremely helpful to my requirements, He suggested the Mighty Lite Mats. Each mat weighs 6kg (12 lbs.) and interlocks with the others, and when I received them I was amazed at how light they actually are. They are easy to lift, so no more breaking my back!
Taking out the whole bed was tiring, but then came the exciting bit – laying the floor mats! They were so easy to lift compared to other mats and compared to a bale of shavings, so no need to nag anyone to help me install them As they interlock I was at first a bit concerned as to how they would fit to the wall with no gaps, but there was no need to worry. These fit wall to wall by just snapping off the edge strips and corner pieces; they sit tightly wall to wall in the stable, thus preventing any muck entering underneath.
It is now a joy to muck out and it feels a lot warmer in the stable. Also I now have better dust control, less wear on her hooves, thus saving on farrier bills, and it is safer for her to lie down. I cannot say how much this has made life easier and cheaper for me; I have a very happy horse that now loves to spend time in the stable.

I love the new (Mighty Lite) mat flooring for the (Haflinger) boys! I just broom it off each morning and the entire area is clean. When five more mats are placed before their corrals, it will look so professional. So far, each a.m. has had one poop pile in corral area. I just sweep that out with the small stones and dirt the boys drag in on their feet. Love the product! You did good, girl!

I am an older rider and very happy with my Mighty Lite stall kits. I have been wanting stall mats for about 10 years, but I couldn't haul around the heavy rubber mats. When I saw your ad in Horse Illustrated I knew they were for me. My one mare paws less because it's no fun to not dig a hole in the stall.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the ProtectorLok mats. I have just laid them down over packed AB type 6 dirt in my 20 x 30 barn area (divided into three stalls). It is so easy to clean....I just broom it off once a day. Horses are fed in the barn and now everything is clean for them. Yes, mats are heavy and we had to split the laying into two days (we are both retired and really got tired....LOL The mats fit together so nicely. Horses have not been able to undo them or move them around. We just ordered another five mats to put directly in front of corrals where I travel with the hay cart. Now everything will be sanitary looking.

I just ordered my 3rd trailer's worth of Mighty Lites. I can't seem to wear them out. The first set is 3 years old and looks brand new. They are so much easier to work with than the heavy rubber mats, although I don't remove them very often because the interlock is tight enough that stuff doesn't get down under them. I love these mats!

I have a small farm and have used various Summit products in the stables with great satisfaction. We currently have the rubber interlocking stall mats in the horse stalls and mighty-light mats in the miniature horse barn aisle. My favorite is the duro-pave in the main-barn aisle which has been tremendously successful in achieving safety and traction on a once slippery and hard concrete floor. "We humans" have also enjoyed the warmth and comfort of working on these surfaces!

I have one stall done (Protector) and I love it! They are easy to clean and given the choice of stalls my 30 year old Morgan chooses the one with the mats. As a creature of habit I was very surprised when he changed stalls when both were left open. I hope to get two more stall done by this coming weekend. Just wanted to let you know that the interlocking stall mats have been a resounding success! My barn owner thought that I was nuts to pay so much for mats and that my horse would soon have them pulled apart and strewn around. But the mats haven't budged and my barn owner is thrilled.
Just to remind you, my horse lives in a pasture with a small roofed area (no walls) and no matter what we did he threw his mats around and tore them up. I ordered 3 interlocking mats from you to try. On one end they butt up against a frame and on the other end we nailed up a piece of plywood and the mat curls up against it (since the framed-in area isn't long enough for the 3 mats). This helps to keep the mats in place, but even with this we thought that my horse would get them up. The mats haven't budged! Just to let you know, I also spent one backbreaking day getting the road base surface below as flat and level as I could.
So I am extremely pleased with your product. When I start showing again I'd like to get some of the lightweight mats for my trailer.
