DuroPave Tiles use the terrazzo style of Italy to fashion
impressive designs. You will be impressed with the resilient
feel of security when you walk on these materials. The
sense of safety is enhanced by the sound-absorbing nature
of the permeable matrix of the tiles. The surface textures
and warm colors complete the effect.
DuroPave
can even be applied to walls for added protection for
your horses, and can be used effectively in foaling
stalls and veterinary clinics.
The primary
raw material used in the manufacture of DuroPave is
granulated, recycled rubber. Sorted by particle size
and cleaned of all steel and fiber, these particles
are mixed with binders and re-fused into stylish floor
tiles. The pressure of the molding presses remains low
so as to permit a permeable matrix to form within the
tiles. Water will slowly percolate through the tiles,
making them ideal for use outside or in aisles and grooming
areas. Water will not puddle on them. The textured,
rubber surface provides the final element of safety.
The color
of this elegant product is in the binder, which coats
the black rubber granules. The binder is UV stabilized,
but it will eventually fade. Surface coating applied
at this time will refresh the color and appearance of
the tiles, making them an excellent, long term investment.
